Who I am
(Mishel McCumber www.deceptionbytes.com)
Who am I? Well quite frankly, nobody. It is really not that important who I am, as this website is not primarily about me. Oh, certainly, there may be traces of me here and there, as with any writer, I have a certain flavor that is shaped and framed by my collected experiences. However, if you come away from this website knowing what I ate for lunch then I have failed.
My desire is that others learn from the lies I have steeped in for so may years, and make wiser choices. I have spent many sleepless nights in research, trying to understand the deception that slowly and silently descended like a veil across my eyes as a young Christian. By its very nature it blinded me to its presence.
Deceived people never know they are deceived. No one wants to be deceived, do they? I mean if they were handing out free portions of deception down at your local Wal-Mart, would you sneak back in line to get a double portion? I mean, lets look at it this way. If deception was a rock the enemy hurled at you straight on, it could be easily avoided by a quick duck of the head, but it is not. It arrives on silent feet like a deadly gas that creeps into your spirit and lulls you to sleep. Without intervention, you die.
So why should you listen to me, you ask? You shouldn’t! In fact if you take everything I say at face value then you are a fool in the very literal sense of the word. I am flesh like you and have no more access to God than you do. I would ask that you read what I have to say, compare it against scripture and take it to God. Do not simply dismiss it because it, does not sound right. Remember, “ There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.” ( Proverbs 16:25)
Do your own research. If you are allowing others to do your research and tell you what to believe, you are already deceived. If you are believing what the majority believes then you are most certainly deceived. Remember, Jesus is coming back for a remnant not a unified world church that is ruling the marketplace and subduing the nations.
Do you know how small and insignificant a remnant is? A remnant is a small leftover piece of fabric that is too small to do much of anything with. In the natural the remnant will not look like much of anything and will look more fit for the trash bin than the throne. The strange thing is, it will be cut from the same cloth used for the garment of worldly honor. In fact, in all the world from the beginning of time, there will have never been such a glorious garment. It will be heart stopping in its splendor and arresting in its beauty. It will look to be fit for a King, and it will be, but which king?
In contrast, the remnant will look defective, flawed, left out, rejected, cast aside, despised, and forsaken. How could that left-over piece of trash be fit for anything but the fire? It would be preposterous to think otherwise right? Surely anyone who would think that the remnant would be the one to clothe the King would be ridiculed and mocked. However, that is precisely what will happen when Christ returns! He will lovingly gather the cast off piece of fabric from the trash, weave it into a garment fit for the Kings of Kings and Lord of Lords, and place it in a place of prominence for all of eternity. The beautiful garment, the garment the world marveled after and fawned over, will be cast into the trash and burned.
My journey out of deception began with a prayer, an innocuous prayer that hardly seemed life changing in its scope. In fact, at the time, it hardly seemed much of anything at all. “Dear Lord,” I prayed, “if I am believing any lies in my life, or am deceived in any areas of my Christian life and what I believe, can you show me? I want your Truth at all costs, even if knowing it destroys my entire world. Oh, and I mean it Lord, even if part of me doesn’t and is scarred.” That was the prayer; the prayer that changed my world and set me free. In retrospect, it was a silly child-like prayer, but God honored it.
Did knowing the Truth destroy my world? Quite frankly, yes. However, at that point, my entire world was built on lies and illusion. What would the value have been in keeping that intact? Make no mistake about it, Truth will cost you.
Scripture tells us in Proverbs 23:23 to “Buy the truth, and do not sell it, also wisdom and instruction and understanding.” Be willing to pay whatever it costs to obtain Truth and do not let go of it no matter what you are offered in exchange.
What lies have you been believing? Why not ask Him? I am sure your prayer will be much more sophisticated than mine, but of this I am certain. If the prayer is uttered by a sincere servant that wants His Truth at all costs, He will surely answer in due season.
Cast-off in the Trash Bin,
Taking Dominion- Do We Really Want God’s Kingdom Now?
(Mishel McCumber www.deceptionbytes.com)
“When fascism comes to America it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross” Sinclair Lewis
There is no doubt that the evangelical and political landscape in this country has been radically transformed by a theological shift that began in the 1960’s. The compelling force behind the shift was Christian Reconstructionism, also known as Dominionism, or “Kingdom Now” theology. Once this idea took root it spread like cancer infusing itself into almost every evangelical denomination and eventually weaving itself into the very fabric of the nation’s political right.
The majority of leaders on the “Christian Right” are influenced by it, if not downright openly accepting of it. Most, however, will not openly claim it. So pervasive is this apostate theology, that it is becoming increasingly difficult to find an evangelical church that is not embracing it in one form or another.
Until the last few decades, most evangelicals have held a pre-millennialist view. They believed that it was impossible to reform the world until Jesus returned to commence His 1,000 year reign on earth. They believed that the world would get progressively darker and more evil and would spiral into cataclysmic tribulation; a time of horrific suffering only remedied by Christ’s return. They also believed in the doctrine of the rapture.
However, in the last few decades, an increasing number of evangelicals have begun to believe the Dominionist, post-millennialist view. They believe it is their mandate to build the Kingdom of God here and now – a kingdom they themselves will rule as God’s vice-regents. Most, although not all, shun the rapture and criticize those who embrace it as having an escapist mentality. All post-millennialists by definition are Dominionists. They do not believe that Christ will bodily return, but rather will come corporately and indwell the church after it has conquered the nations and subdued them under Mosaic Law and its consequent punishments.
Essentially, Dominionists believe that Adam forfeited dominion over God’s creation and that it is our God-given mandate to take it back.
“Our theological bedrock is what has been known as Dominion Theology. This means that our divine mandate is to do whatever is necessary, by the power of the Holy Spirit, to retake the dominion of God’s creation which Adam forfeited to Satan in the Garden of Eden. It is nothing less than seeing God’s kingdom coming and His will being done here on earth as it is in heaven”. 1 C. Peter Wagner
Those who hold Dominionist views believe scripture compels them to dominate, subdue, rule over, build up, tear down, and unite, all in the name of “Christ”. Dominionists transmute the concept of an invisible, spiritual and eternal “Kingdom of God” into a mandate to build an earthly political empire now. The fact that Jesus clearly stated that His Kingdom was NOT of this world is conveniently discarded.
“The Church has been foreordained of God to become that people who will become so glorified that we can bring Christ back to the earth. This glorified church must make the earth God’s footstool before Jesus can come again.” 2 Earl Paulk
They arrogantly believe that it is only when they have conquered and subdued the nations that Christ can return. However, which “Christ” are they building their New World Utopia for? If you substitute their use of “Jesus” and “Christ” for the word “Corporate Christ” you have essentially the same doctrine as the New Age Movement and other Gnostic doctrines. When the majority of today’s evangelicals start agreeing with mystic, Gnostic, and New Age doctrine, we have a problem; a significant one. Dominionists preach another gospel and another Jesus; plain and simple.
Apostasy Veiled in Patriotism
Perhaps most disturbing of all is the fact that Dominionist thought has become the central ideology driving the Republican Party. Theirs is a gospel of war, conquest, world domination, and theocratic rule by whatever means necessary. These “means” include covert wars, counterinsurgency and pre-emptive warfare. Their actions are justified in their eyes since they feel they are mandated to establish “Christian” rule on earth. Often their saber rattling is veiled in Patriotism as they implore the Christians to help them return the nation to its “Christian” roots. However, are the roots of this nation truly Christian?
George Washington himself stated that this country was in no way founded upon the Christian religion. Why are we being lied to?
“The Government of the United States is not in any sense founded upon the Christian Religion.” 1797 the treaty of Tripoli, signed by President Washington, and approved by the Senate of the United States
Benjamin Franklin rightly argued that true religion does not need to appeal to civil power for its support. In fact he further stated that if religion has to stoop to appeal to civil authorities, then its cause is a bad one.
“When religion is good, it will take care of itself. When it is not able to take care of itself, and God does not see fit to take care of it, so that it has to appeal to the civil power for support, it is evidence to my mind that its cause is a bad one.” Benjamin Franklin, Statesman, Inventor, Author, Letter to Dr. Price.
Most of the founders of our nation were not Christian at all but rather embraced deism which aligns itself more with pantheism than it is/ does Christianity. Regardless, of their own views our founding fathers staunchly defended the rights of all religions and the freedom to worship according to our own free will and conscience.
“If God himself was not willing to use coercion to force man to accept certain religious views, man, uninspired and liable to error, ought not to use the means that Jehovah would not employ.” W. J. Bryan, in introduction to The Writings of Thomas Jefferson
Make no mistake, Dominionism by its very nature undemocratic, unpatriotic and un-American. The ultimate goal of its true adherents is nothing short of a theocracy with themselves as the ruling elites! They wish to legislate a twisted form of Christianity and strictly forbid worship outside their twisted definition. It will be a form of fascism that will slaughter all who oppose it. If you think this could never happen please keep in mind that it already has.
In fact several wars in the last few decades have been funded, aided, or at the very least, enthusiastically endorsed, by prominent “Christian Right” leaders and organizations working covertly with the CIA. These wars were carefully redefined as just and moral to sell them to the masses. How can true Christians, who are to be known by their love, ever put the term Holy and War together in the same sentence? Lord, forgive us! [The ties of the “Christian Right” to war and counterinsurgency efforts will be visited in depth in the second part of this article]
The Agenda Driven Church
The fact that this movement has evolved over the last 20 years into a driving political force, is due in part to the fact that participation in all levels of government is openly encouraged and promoted by Dominionist leaders. It is a symbiotic relationship; politicians need the Dominionists to garner votes and the Dominionists needs the politicians to further their ambitious totalitarian agenda.
It is a calculated coup d’état if you will, a subversive plot hidden in plain site. It is stealth politics, wrapped in patriotism and shrouded in Christian terms to mask its true agenda. The Christian double-speak makes it more palatable to its target audience, after all, what true Christian does not want a return to Biblical morality?
So well masked is this agenda that most Christians who are part of a Dominionist church would vehemently argue that they are not. They do not understand what is being fed to them and how masked in double-speak the subversive plot really is! It is for this very reason that the Dominionist political agenda is being executed in this country with military precision and most Christian churches are applauding its advance.
Riding the Beast
Since the Antichrist seeks to be Christ, it makes perfect sense that he would mimic Christ’s true theocracy by setting up his own Kingdom Now. Rest assured, true theocracy can only be achieved by Christ himself physically present; anything less will be fascism.
In case you have any doubt where I am going with this, let me state my position plainly. The Dominionist church is the harlot of the book of Revelation in the form of a quickly unifying theocratic world church. She is riding a political, New-World-Order, Beast that she will literally hold sway over. It is an intoxicating mixture of religion and politics, church and state, that will form the most oppressive and bloody regime this world has ever seen.
….. “Come, I will show you the judgment of the great harlot who sits on many waters, 2 with whom the kings of the earth committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth were made drunk with the wine of her fornication.”Rev 17:1-2 KJV
It is obvious that throughout scripture the Lord has frequently used the term woman to symbolize a church. The Harlot represents an ecumenical Dominionist church that has left her true Husband, and commit abominable acts with the kings of the earth. This Jezebel-type harlot is illicitly intimate with the world’s political elite, seeking their favor and wealth in her unquenchable quest for power.
Scripture states that she will be literally drunk on the blood of the martyred Christians. Like Jezebel before her, she too will pursue and destroy those who truly belong to God.
6 I saw the woman, drunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. And when I saw her, I marveled with great amazement. Rev 17:6, KJV
This end time blasphemous church will be tagged as the “Mother of Harlots” for no doubt her world wide network of daughter churches will likewise be harlots.
5 And on her forehead a name was written: MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. Rev 7:5, KJV
The documented plans of the Dominionists seem to line up perfectly with the biblical description of this despotic end time church. Since a rider generally exercises control over their mount, it is obvious that this blasphemous church will be given world-wide power of state. Her rule will be short lived however. The Beast will soon tire of her having the reigns and will turn, devouring her with fire.
A Transfer of Wealth
Dominionist leaders are very vocal in proclaiming a coming “transfer of wealth” from the wicked to the church. It is interesting that this blasphemous harlot of the book of Revelation is imbued with such astounding wealth? She is dressed in purple and scarlet, and glittering with gold, precious stones and pearls.
4 The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the filthiness of her fornication. Rev. 17:4, KJV
Where would this obscene amount of wealth come from? No doubt her lovers gave her gold in exchange for her favors, but there may be another source. I believe it is possible that part of her wealth will come from the plunder of those she will slaughter in much the same way the Nazi’s grew fat on the plundered treasure of murdered Jews.
Dominionism, a Beautiful Lie
Did God really call us to literally conquer and rule the nations? Did Hitler himself not profess a deep faith in Jesus Christ and claim to be a Christian? Did he not also claim that his actions were justified by a biblical mandate, and receive the accolades of the Christian community?
“My feeling as a Christian points me to my Lord and Savior… I am fighting for the work of the Lord.” Adolf Hitler- Speech, April 12, 1921 3
Hitler was steeped in occultism yet most German Christians did not question his allegiance to God, or if he was indeed Christian at all. Why would they question; He used the right words and phrases, quoted scripture, and even flashed a Bible when it suited his purposes.
The most evil of men will always cloak their deeds in righteous and palatable terms and their causes will always appear to be noble. True evil is always duplicitous, an oppressive darkness wrapped in light in order to deceive. In Hitler’s case, being Christian was nothing more than a brilliant political maneuver. He knew the church would be indispensable to him; and indeed it was.
If one spends much time reading the literature of the leading Dominionists, the potential for a repeat of the kind of brutal fascism becomes all too real a possibility.
Are we not instructed to love our enemies and do good to those who despitefully use us? Yet Dominionists would have us return to Mosaic Law, imposing the harshest of punishments up to, and including, death for those who transgress it!
Frederick Clarkson, an American journalist and expert in the stealth politics of theocratic Dominionists writes that:
“The Biblically approved methods of execution include burning (at the stake for example), stoning, hanging, and “the sword.” Gary North, the self-described economist of Reconstructionism, prefers stoning because, among other things, stones are cheap, plentiful, and convenient. Punishments for non-capital crimes generally involve whipping, restitution in the form of indentured servitude, or slavery. Prisons would likely be only temporary holding tanks, prior to imposition of the actual sentence.” 4
Rousas John Rushdooney
The father of Christian Reconstructionism, the forerunner of modern Dominionism, was Rousas John Rushdooney. Reconstructionism was so named because it calls for a de-construction of government, and institutions in order to re-construct them according to Old Testament, Mosaic Law. There is little doubt that Rushdooney has exerted enormous influence over the direction of the Christian Right.
James Kennedy and Jerry Falwell both endorsed Reconstructionist books and Rushdooney himself, appeared several times on Pat Robertson’s 700 club and a program hosted by James Kennedy 5
The theocracy Rushdooney advocates would invoke the death penalty for homosexuality, adultery, incest, lying about one’s virginity, bestiality, witchcraft, idolatry or apostasy, public blasphemy, false prophesying, kidnapping, rape, and bearing false witness in a capital case. 6 According to Rushdooney, “God’s government prevails, and His alternatives are clear-cut: either men and nations obey His laws, or God invokes the death penalty against them.” 7
Does this sound like the same Gospel Jesus preached? The Bible advocates a fairly passive response to those who reject the Gospel.
And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet. Mathew 10:14, KJV
It should be self evident that shaking the dust from your feet is a far cry from conquering or killing those who reject the gospel.
Rick Joyner, author, self appointed prophet and founder of MorningStar Ministries describes the kind of freedom we can look forward to under the rule of the Dominionists.
“The kingdom of God will not be socialism, but a freedom even greater than anyone on earth knows at this time. At first it may seem like totalitarianism, as the Lord will destroy the Antichrist spirit now dominating the world with “the sword of His mouth” and will shatter many nations like pottery. However, fundamental to His rule is II Corinthians 3:17, “Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” Instead of taking away liberties and becoming more domineering, the kingdom will move from a point of necessary control while people are learning truth, integrity, honor, and how to make decisions, to increasing liberty so that they can.”
…The kingdom will start out necessarily authoritative in many ways, or in many areas, but will move toward increasing liberty–so do all true churches and movements that are advancing toward the kingdom. You may have to be very controlling of toddlers, but the older they get, the more they can be trusted, and the more freedom they should have if they are going to develop into true maturity, which requires personal responsibility.8
It may feel like totalitarianism because it is totalitarianism! The reason that the initial control will loosen towards increasing liberty is not because those under their rule are “maturing” but because any opposition to their rule will have been slaughtered!
Stealth Politics – Hiding the Elephant
Naturally, Dominionists aggressively cloak their goals of a bloody reformation and totalitarian rule. They fully recognize that advocating such a harsh and punitive theocracy with themselves standing in for God, would alarm all but the most radical.
Dominionist leader, Dr. George Grant’s theocratic views alarmed many when his video support of Michelle Bachmann for President appeared on the Bachmann campaign website. Her campaign hastily removed the video and understandably so. Bachmann, is clearly supportive of Dominionism and did not want it known that she is connected to those who support replacing the constitution and ending religious freedom. 9 (See video here) Grant plainly states that he wants to see our constitution replaced with Biblical law and declares that, “world conquest” is the aim of the religious right. 10
“Christians have an obligation, a mandate, a commission, a holy responsibility to reclaim the land for Jesus Christ — to have dominion in civil structures, just as in every other aspect of life and godliness. But it is dominion we are after. Not just a voice. It is dominion we are after. Not just influence. It is dominion we are after. Not just equal time. It is dominion we are after. World conquest. That’s what Christ has commissioned us to accomplish. We must win the world with the power of the Gospel. And we must never settle for anything less… Thus, Christian politics has as its primary intent the conquest of the land — of men, families, institutions, bureaucracies, courts, and governments for the Kingdom of Christ.” 11
Of course Bachmann is in good company when it comes to supporting the Dominionist agenda. Rick Perry, Sarah Palin, Rick Santorum, Mike Huckabee, Jim Miller, Scott Walker, and even Ron Paul, all have strong ties to Dominionism.
Rev. Joe Fuiten, board member for the Family Policy Institute of Washington, a Focus on the Family state affiliate, supports the mass denationalization and deportation of non-Dominionists. He has been active in both “get out the vote” drives and voter registration drives for Dominionists. 12 This is not at all unusual as Dominionists want to be sure that elected politicians are either Dominionists themselves, or at the very least, sympathetic to their cause.
Patrick Henry College
Patrick Henry College is a Dominionist school in upstate New York, named for a founding father who opposed the Constitution and favored state-supported religion. Their goal is to take bright young home-schooled children, indoctrinate them, and then infuse them into the social and political fabric of the nation.13
“They must sign a statement that explicitly supports Christian Reconstructionism (and even carries this down to their “property” statement, declaring men essentially “agents” of “God’s dominion”).14
Patrick Henry is extremely influential and the overarching purpose of the college is to infuse government with a generation of Dominionists who believe it is their biblical mandate to establish God’s Kingdom Now. Many in George W. Bush’s administration were culled from Patrick Henry College and it remains a major source of republican interns.
“The purpose of Dominionist education ….. is not to educate or to train people to think, but to indoctrinate and in fact teach “thought-stopping” techniques that pretty much shut down any chance at logical debate.” 15

Joel’s Army Now Recruiting
The steady infiltration of hard core Dominionists into our government and military is troubling to say the least. It is evident that what has been referred to as Joel’s Army by many in this movement is taking a dangerous shift to real world warfare. Joel’s Army is inexorably linked to the Dominionist movement most notably through the Apostolic and Prophetic movement and the (NAR) New Apostolic Reformation. It is not possible to bring the kind of radical reforms they advocate without war. It goes without saying that if you are converting whole nations and instituting Mosaic Law you are going to have to use force! This army is frequently referred to as a “New Breed” of “dread champions” who will purge the earth of its wickedness and police the nations. I find it more than a little disturbing that their theology includes a mandate for genocide.
“Paul Cain prophesied that the new breed would possess power to overcome the enemies of the gospel and strike terror into them, ‘There’s going to be an awesome, reverential fear and respect for the church because the church is going to regain her power, lose her restrictions, lose her weakness . . . you’re going to be called upon by presidents and kings of nations, heads of state. . . God is going to have his army and they are going to be a fearful bunch and they are going to go to every place on the face of the earth. . .” 16
The term “Joel’s Army” is taken from a description of a mighty army of locusts in the second chapter of Joel that Dominionist say represents God’s end time army. However, let’s look closer at this “army” the Dominionists say will usher in the Kingdom of God.
According to Joel 2:1-11, this army is described as having the following characteristics:
- The inhabitants of earth tremble before them
- A fire goes before them
- The land in front of them is like the Garden of Eden but after they pass by it is desolate.
- They leap like flames and DEVOURETH
- They run like Mighty men and climb walls like men of war
- When they fall upon their swords and they are not wounded!
- They enter in the windows like thieves
- The earth quakes before them
I think it is fairly obvious that the “Kingdom of God” they are ushering in is not “revival”.
Lt. Gen. William G. Boykin, a Dominionist and the Pentagon’s senior military intelligence official, has drawn more than a little heat for commencing a speaking tour of 23 evangelical churches where he painted the war on terror in spiritual terms. He was dressed in full regalia and was accompanied by two aides which very much gave the impression that his actions were officially sanctioned. He told them that the “U.S. military is recruiting a spiritual army that will draw strength from a greater power to defeat its enemy. 17
According to Boykin, he was there to recruit them to be warriors in “God’s Kingdom”. Boykin, as a Dominionist, was clearly not recruiting them to participate in revival. The controversy Boykin stirred by his speaking tour incited many to call for his immediate resignation. Naturally the Dominionist Church rushed to defend him. Among those who reportedly supported his actions were James Dobson, Pat Robertson, the Family Research Council and the Christian Coalition. 18
The Spirit of Phineas, Anointed to Kill
Below, Rick Joyner says that what is about to come upon the earth will change the very definition of Christianity. He further states that this “redefinition” will be accomplished by a company of prophets raised up in the spirit of Phineas.
“What is about to come upon the earth is not just a revival, or another awakening; it is a veritable revolution. The vision was given in order to begin to awaken those who are destined to radically change the course, and even the very definition of Christianity. The dismantling of organizations and disbanding of some works will be a positive and exhilarating experience for the Lord’s faithful servants. A great company of prophets, teachers, pastors and apostles will be raised up with the spirit of Phineas this “ministry of Phinehas” will save congregations, and at times, even whole nations. …Nations will tremble at the mention of their name. 19
The term Phineas priesthood was first coined by Kelly Hoskins who religiously justified acts of domestic terrorism by violent guerrillas to avenge transgressors of God’s law. He is a racist, anti-Semite whose ideas have gained acceptance and influence over the far-right in the last two decades. 20 Phineas priests believe they are justified in murdering those who disobey God’s law and believe that God actually blesses them for doing so.
“They shall put you out of the synagogues: yes, the time comes, that whoever kills you will think that he does God service.” John 16:2 American KJV
The reference is taken from the biblical story of Phineas. It is believed that Balaam, unable to curse the Israelites, sent beautiful, Baal worshipping Middianite women into the Israelite’s camp to seduce them. It evidently worked. Before Moses could carry out the sentence of the Lord against them, Phineas stepped in. He thrust an Israelite and his Middianite lover engaged in Ritual Prostitution in the tabernacle, through with his sword killing them both. Rick Joyner further tells us that passive Christianity will cease to exist and will be replaced with a “divine” militancy. Evidently it matters not to the Dominionists that you are Christian, it only matters to them what kind of Christian you are. If you are not bent on establishing the kingdom of God in the here and now, then you are to be purged from the earth.
“We are coming to the times when passive Christianity and passive Christians will cease to exist. There is a maturity, a discipline, and a divine militancy coming upon the people of God. Those who have succumbed to humanistic and idealistic theologies may have a hard time with this, but we must understand that God is a military God. The title that He uses ten times more than any other in Scripture is “the Lord of hosts,” or “Lord of armies.” There is a martial aspect to His character that we must understand and embrace for the times and the job to which we are now coming.” Rick Joyner 21
Bill Hamon refers to the Army of the Lord which will take dominion over the Nations of the Earth as follows:
“God is preparing His Church to become an invincible, unstoppable, unconquerable, overcoming Army of the Lord that subdues everything under Christ’s feet. There will be a sovereign restorational move of God to activate all that is needed for His army to be and do what He had eternally purposed.
…God’s great end-time army is being prepared to execute God’s written Judgments with Christ’s victory and divine judgment decrees that have already been established in heaven. 22
A Blueprint for Control
A document entitled, “The Integration of Theory and Practice: A Program for the New Traditionalist Movement” is of particular importance if one wishes to understand the nature of the Dominionists planned take-over. It was penned by Eric Huebeck under the guidance of Paul Weyrich, founder of both the Free Congress Foundation, and the Heritage Foundation. The document is in fact a manual which outlines how to gain control of the government.
The fact that Weyrich has enormous influence on the Republican Party and his ideas are enthusiastically embraced is more than a little disturbing. 23 In this so called “Dominionist Manifesto” Huebeck states that “the truth of an idea is not the primary reason for its acceptance. Far more important is the energy and dedication of the idea’s promoters” 24 Apparently when advocating deception it is always best to do so enthusiastically. In case anyone has any doubt that this is more than mere spiritual rhetoric, Huebeck plainly states the types of tactics he is openly advocating.
“We will use guerrilla tactics to undermine the legitimacy of the dominant regime. We will take advantage of every available opportunity to spread the idea that there is something fundamentally wrong with the existing state of affairs. … contribute to a vague sense of uneasiness and dissatisfaction with existing society. … We need to break down before we can build up. We must first clear away the flotsam of a decayed culture.” 25
Huebeck also clearly states that in order to gain dominance their cause must attract passionate, driven and dedicated people. In order to do this, the struggle would have to be reframed as a moral one. In other words, he is advocating lying. After all, it is always easier to recruit people to fight for a cause they feel is righteous, moral or just.
“We need more people with fire in the belly, and we need a message that attracts those kinds of people…We must reframe this struggle as a moral struggle, as a transcendent struggle, as a struggle between good and evil. And we must be prepared to explain why this is so. We must provide the evidence needed to prove this using images and simple terms…26
Katherine Yurika, author of the website the Yurika Report, aptly paraphrased the four immoral principles that the, “The Integration of Theory and Practice: A Program for the New Traditionalist Movement”, advocates. 1) Falsehoods are not only acceptable, they are a necessity. The corollary is: The masses will accept any lie if it is spoken with vigor, energy and dedication. 2) It is necessary to be cast under the cloak of “goodness” whereas all opponents and their ideas must be cast as “evil.” 3) Complete destruction of every opponent must be accomplished through unrelenting personal attacks. 4) The creation of the appearance of overwhelming power and brutality is necessary in order to destroy the will of opponents to launch opposition of any kind. The fact that this Dominionist manual for gaining governmental control is being embraced and followed should be evident to all who are paying attention. In the 1980’s Ronald Reagan was able to persuasively cloak the struggle in Nicaragua in religious terms and woo the religious right by essentially convincing them that it was a Holy war. He did this by reframing the war as a moral one and recasting the struggle as a fight against “Godless Communism”. By so doing, he made it seem like our duty as patriots and Christians to fight them at any cost. The fact that the killing was done by those who considered themselves Christian was seldom, if ever, reported.
Many “have told stories of death squad members praising God, singing hymns, and “speaking in tongues” as they went about their gruesome business of butchering people. This is precisely what makes it possible for death squad members to also be “members in good standing” in countless numbers of Protestant evangelical groups throughout Latin America.” 27
I very much believe that the 1980’s counter-insurgency efforts funded by the CIA and supported by prominent Christian Right leaders was a blue-print for the type of war that will be waged in furthering their “Kingdom Now”. [I hope to be able to lay this out in an upcoming article which will constitute the second part.]
